About Our Housing Specialist Position:
Our H2O Housing Specialist
monitors our participants' physical and emotional well-being and addresses
identified needs. This position collaborates with participants to identify,
obtain, and/or maintain safe and affordable independent housing, teaches
independent living skills, and may observe participants' self-administration of
medications.
What a Housing Specialist Does at Resilient
Health:
- Provides pre-tenancy and tenancy support
services, including assisting members with finding housing, navigating rental
processes, and developing independent living skills
- Monitors participants' physical and emotional
well-being to address identified needs
- Accurately documents services provided in the
HMIS and UnyteUs systems
- Employs the Housing First model
- Coordinates care to meet identified behavioral
health and health-related social needs
- Encourages participants to develop work skills
and to participate in social, recreational, or other therapeutic activities
that enhance interpersonal skills or develop social relationships
- Participates in the development and teaching of
strategies to promote participant wellness and independence
- Completes admission forms, assesses mental
health status, and obtains mental health treatment history
- Transports participants from homes to agency
facilities for clinical services
Requirements for This Position:
- Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) required (must be 21 years old):
- High
School Diploma or equivalent and six months of full-time behavioral
health work experience or internship or Peer Support Certification, or
- Associates Degree and three months of full-time behavioral health experience or internship or Peer Support Certification, or
- A BHT Certificate from an accredited college/university, or
- Bachelor's Degree, or
- Master's Degree
- Experience providing psycho-social rehabilitation services to adult participant populations and/or youth and families
- Strong skills in the arts either visual and/or musical preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Valid CPR/First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Three-year Motor Vehicle Record that meets our auto insurance carrier's coverage requirements

What This Position Pays: $19.25 - $21.42, depending on education and experience
