About Our Facilities Specialist Position:

The Facilities Specialist performs skilled tasks independently or as part of a team to maintain, repair, alter, or remodel buildings, offices, houses, and other agency facilities. Assignments involve numerous trades and skills, such as carpentry, plumbing, roofing, painting, and concrete/masonry.

What a Facilities Specialist Does at Resilient Health:

  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment
  • Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties
  • Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures
  • Install equipment to improve the energy or operational efficiency of residential or commercial buildings
  • Provide grounds-keeping services, such as landscaping
  • Fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions, or other wooden structures, such as sheds or outbuildings
  • Determines appropriate work methods, tools and materials for work assignments
  • Set up, move and repair furniture

Requirements for This Position:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Three years of skilled-level experience in building maintenance and repair work preferred
  • Prior training in occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to building maintenance work
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Three-year Motor Vehicle Record that meets our auto insurance carrier's coverage requirements

What This Position Pays: Up to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
