About
our Outreach Specialist:
Our
Outreach Specialist is responsible for conducting programs out in the community
to promote the prevention of substance abuse and create awareness regarding
mental health and substance use.
What our Outreach Specialist Does at Resilient Health:
- Formulates and conducts programs
to promote the prevention of alcohol and substance/drug abuse and provides
successful community training programs and presentations regarding mental
health and substance use throughout the community with a significant
emphasis upon youth, schools, health fairs, etc.
- Focuses all activities upon
reducing risk factors, identifying symptoms of mental health, substance
misuse, suicide; and how community members may successfully connect with
appropriate services
- Oversees educational sessions at
schools using evidence-based curriculum on subjects of mental health,
substance use and suicide prevention
- Coordinates all activities with
other Resilient Health staff members and providers
- Completes and submits all
activity reports to comply with grant requirements on a timely basis
- Provides highly participative
group presentations in a manner that inspires broad-scale wellness for all
audiences
- Maintains constructive
coordination with the Marketing Department while launching and maintaining
successful media campaigns on subjects of substance abuse, suicide, and
wellness
- Takes all steps to remain
compliant with HIPAA and all confidentiality and professional standards
Requirements
for This Position:
- Behavioral Health
Technician required (must be 21 years old):
- High School
Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (GED) and six months of full-time
behavioral health work experience/internship or Peer Support Certification, or
- Associates Degree
and three months of full-time behavioral health experience/internship or Peer
Support Certification, or
- BHT Certified from
an accredited college/university, or
- Bachelor's Degree,
or
- Master's Degree
- Minimum one year of experience in
a non-profit sector, social services and/or teaching with included
facilitating trainings and presentations preferred
- Minimum one year working with youth
preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Knowledge of community-based
social and human services systems
- Knowledge of
prevention/intervention concepts and strategies, children and family
systems
- Experience working with
culturally diverse populations
- Excellent oral, written, and
organizational skills required
- Valid Arizona or other state
driver's license
- Valid automobile insurance
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
or ability to obtain within ninety days of hire
- Valid CPR/First Aid
certifications or ability to obtain within ninety days of hire
- Three-year driving record that
meets the agency's auto insurance carrier's coverage requirements

This Position Pays: $19.25 - $21.42, depending on experience and education
