About
Our Youth Respite Specialist Position:
Our Youth Respite Specialist
plays an important role in providing relief to caregivers/guardians by engaging
youth on outings and facilitating skill building and support. This position
enjoys working with youth, serves as a healthy role model and understands how
to engage and connect with them.
What a
Youth Respite Specialist Does at Resilient Health:
- Provides rest and relief for
caregivers/guardians requesting respite services by taking youth
participants out in the community
- Listens to the needs of the individual
- Provides mentoring and inspire hope
towards building resilience
- Engages individuals, family members, and
key stakeholders
- Completes documentation that supports the
services being provided and illustrates the individual's experience
- Advocates for and with the individual and
family
- Provides ongoing support by listening,
helping the individual communicate what is or is not working, and when
appropriate, meet with clinical staff and supervisors to improve quality
of processes
- Assists with identifying supports
available in the community, and help the person connect with them
- Provides transportation to and from the
program site and community resources/events, when needed
- Be creative, energetic, flexible and to
serve as a healthy role model for staff and clients
- Facilitates skill building and other
groups as needed
Requirements
for This Position:
- Behavioral Health Technician required
(must be 21 years old):
- High School Diploma and two years of
full-time behavioral health work experience, or
- Associate's Degree and six months of
full-time behavioral health experience, or
- Bachelor's Degree, or
- Master's Degree
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
- Must be able to maintain a flexible work
schedule, to include weekends or evenings, that will accommodate the needs
of participants and families/caregivers
- Valid Arizona or other state driver's
license
- Valid automobile insurance
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card or
ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Valid CPR/First Aid certifications or
ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Three-year driving record that meets the
agency's auto insurance carrier's coverage requirements
