About our Medical Assistant
Position:
Our Medical Assistant role is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to medical and psychiatric providers as well as patients.
What a Medical Assistant Does at Resilient Health:
- Prepare patient charts for daily and future visits
- Obtain patient medical records and test results
- Review all lab results and ensure that medical providers are aware of all abnormal results
- Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures
- Perform injections
- Administer injectable and oral medications
- Complete wound care, EKGs, and urine testings
- Room patients for providers
- Gather patient vital signs
- Provide patients with information regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans
- Coordinate patient care
- Triage patient calls and schedule patient appointments
- Obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations
- Prep & stock rooms and assist with procedures as needed and clean rooms between patients
- Document tasks accurately in the electronic medical record
- Assist with prescription refills
- Coordinate specimen pick-ups with various couriers
- Comply with all regulatory requirements including OSHA, HIPAA, compliance, and other mandated requirements
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Medical Assisting program required
- Experience in the behavioral health field preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Computer literate with previous experience using Microsoft Office and EHR/EMR software required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Arizona or other state driver's license
- Valid CPR & First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Three-year driving record that meets the agency's auto insurance carrier's coverage requirements

What This Position Pays: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on years of MA experience
